Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of WowOwl, the website-scanning service available at wowowl.in (the "Service"), operated by Aniket Khaire ("WowOwl", "we", "us", "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
WowOwl crawls websites specified by you and reports how often and where the keyword(s) you provide appear, along with related features (multi-keyword search, scheduled scans, comparisons, exports, and similar). The Service is provided on a free, credit-based, and subscription basis as described on our Pricing page, which may change from time to time.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. If you create an account (via Google sign-in), you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your session and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Acceptable Use
You are solely responsible for the URLs you submit to WowOwl for scanning. By submitting a URL, you represent that:
- You have the legal right or authorization to have that website crawled (e.g., it is your own site, a client's site you're authorized to audit, or a publicly accessible site you're entitled to access under its own terms of use and robots.txt directives), and
- Your use of the Service to scan that site does not violate any law or any agreement you have with the site's owner.
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Scan, or attempt to scan, systems you are not authorized to access, including private, internal, or non-public networks
- Circumvent, or attempt to circumvent, rate limits, usage quotas, or anti-abuse measures
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or other users' use of it
- Use the Service to violate any applicable law, or to infringe the rights of any third party
- Resell or provide the Service to third parties as your own product without our written consent
We reserve the right to block, throttle, or decline to scan specific URLs, IP ranges, or targets at our discretion — including for security reasons (e.g., to prevent server-side request forgery against internal or restricted network ranges) — regardless of your stated authorization.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice where we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to protect the Service or third parties.
4. Plans, Credits, and Payment
- Free / Guest use is subject to daily scan and page-count limits described on our Pricing page, which may change at our discretion.
- Pro subscription is billed monthly in advance, in the currency shown at checkout, via our payment processor, Dodo Payments. Your subscription renews automatically each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through your account's billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period (see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details).
- One-time credit packs are non-recurring purchases that grant a fixed number of scan credits, valid for the period stated at the time of purchase. Unused credits expire at the end of that period and are not carried over or refunded.
- We may change pricing for future billing periods or future purchases; we will not change the price of a subscription period or credit pack you have already paid for.

5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by WowOwl and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to WowOwl's trademarks, logos, or brand assets. You retain ownership of the URLs and keywords you submit; scan results generated for you are yours to use, export, and share.
6. Third-Party Websites
The Service crawls and reports on content hosted by third-party websites that you specify. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content, availability, or practices of any third-party website scanned through the Service. Scan results reflect content as it existed at the time of the scan and may not be complete, current, or entirely accurate — websites change, and some content (e.g., behind authentication, certain JavaScript-rendered content, or content blocked by the target site's own configuration) may not be captured.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT SCAN RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WOWOWL AND ITS OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ₹1,000, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold WowOwl and its operator harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your unauthorized use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right — including, specifically, any claim that you did not have the authorization you represented in Section 3 to scan a given website.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service, and delete your account, at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time — with or without notice — if we believe you have violated these Terms, misused the Service, or if required by law. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 7, 8, 9, and 11) will survive.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
